Raised in Brant Hills
Rory Nisan is 44 years old and grew up in Brant Hills. He attended Bruce T. Lindley Public School, Brant Hills Public School, Macmillan Public School, and Pearson High School — the same schools and streets many Burlington families know today.
Education and public service
Rory earned an Honours B.A. from Laurier University and an M.A. from Carleton University. Before entering local politics, he served Canada as a Foreign Service Officer — work that took discipline, judgment, and a commitment to representing Canadians abroad.
Eight years on Council
Rory spent eight years as Ward 3 City and Regional Councillor, listening to neighbours, voting on budgets and growth, and showing up for the issues that affect everyday life in Burlington.
Family
He is married and has one son. Burlington is home — and the reason he is running for Mayor.
