About this debate
The Burlington Men's Shed — a local not-for-profit that brings neighbours together — is hosting a Mayoral Candidates Debate and Ward Candidate Forum ahead of election day, and Rory will be on stage with the other candidates vying to become Mayor for Burlington. Expect straight answers on the issues that shape daily life here — budgets, development, and the services our neighbourhoods count on.
Evening schedule
- 6:30–7:15 p.m. — Ward councillor candidates forum (doors open): candidate display tables in the concourse, with contenders from all six wards
- 7:15–7:30 p.m. — Transition to the main hall
- 7:30–9:00 p.m. — Mayoral debate, moderated by Rishia Burke (Executive Director, Community Development Halton)
Attendees can submit written questions for consideration during the debate, time permitting.
Getting there
Parking at St. Christopher's Church is limited — carpool, take BT route 3, or park at the southwest corner of the Burlington Centre mall, where a shuttle will run to the church.
